Welcome to Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation

  • Welcome to IHC!

Another great Sunday morning at IHC...starting with our fabulous Religious School, followed by almost 50 people joining visiting scholar, Rabbi Jan Katsew for Sundays with the Rabbi, Klezmer band practice. Mitzvah Stitchers, Sisterhood's Greenbriar collection and more.

  • Early Childhood Center

Our Early Childhood Center provides an atmosphere of love, learning and play, which is greatly enhanced by our Jewish values.  ECC had a successful Dance-A-Thon we had???

  • Building Community

Another great Simchat Torah at IHC! On this day we conclude, and begin anew, the annual Torah reading cycle. We marched, sang and danced with the Torah scrolls... On Simchat Torah "we rejoice in the Torah, and the Torah rejoices in us; the Torah, too, wants to dance, so we become the Torah's dancing feet."

  • Welcoming Ways

We live the values and vision of Abraham and Sarah: our tent is open and we welcome all.  Sisterhood and Brotherhood showed our IHC and ECC staff our "amore" and appreciation for all they do for IHC by serving them lunch. It was so nice!

  • Lifelong Learning

Our youth find so many ways to learn and grow their Jewish identity from tots to teens through Torah.  Small Chai in a sea of orange after the magic show!

  • SISTERHOOD'S PLAY

Our guest list included, Yocheved, Miriam, Deborah, Beruriah, Emma Lazarus, Golda Meir, and Bella Abzug.   Thank you, to our very talented Sisterhood members who so wonderfully portrayed each of these women.  Joanne Bates, Carly Turow, Stefani Schaffer , Carol Weiss, Patti Freeman Dorson, Amy Isaacs, and Andrea Pactor.  It was a very fun evening with wonderful food, hot cider, and wine.
