Do you have acrylic yarn that you will never use? IHC’s Mitzvah Stitchers will be happy to take it off your hands. We are not concerned about color or weight, only that it is acrylic. All yarn donations will be knitted and crocheted into hats, scarves, lap blankets and other items that are needed by the homeless and those in nursing facilities. Since September 2020, Mitzvah Stitchers has donated a total of 264 hats, scarves, headbands, handwarmers, and lap blankets around Central Indiana. Recipients include Sisterhood’s Adopt a Family, IHC’s Early Childhood Center, Hooverwood, the Homeless Initiative Program, The Welcome Center, Riverwalk Village, and the Golden Living Center.
Winter isn’t over yet and we also want to get a head start for next Winter! Every skein – even partial ones – will help us to help others. If you can donate, please contact Cantor Janice Roger at janicelroger@gmail.com.By the way, if you don’t have yarn, you can give dollars to help us purchase yarn for our IHC stash. Thanks in advance for your help.
Do you still need acrylic yarn? I have some I’d like to donate.
Thank you,
Caroline Thompson
