IHC hires Communications Specialist

Jaylan Miller - communications specialist

Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation is thrilled to bring Jaylan Miller on board as its Communications Specialist.  In her role, Jaylan’s main responsibilities will include planning and coordinating marketing and social media strategies. This will include the weekly congregant communications, the Kulanu magazine, website content, and any digital or printed promotional materials.

Jaylan comes to IHC after working as an independent writing and editing professional, writing for clients such as the Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis, North Indy Magazine, and CivicLab. Before that, she was the editor of The Chronicle-Tribune in Grant County, Indiana.

Jaylan was born and raised in Miami, Florida, before moving to Berlin, Ohio at the age of 15. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in English and Writing at Indiana Wesleyan University. Jaylan has been attending IHC since she moved to Indianapolis in January 2023.

When she isn’t working, Jaylan is playing with her miniature pinscher mix named Gilligan, who rescued her two years ago. She loves musicals, thrifting, sipping specialty coffee, and reading memoirs.
