Jed A. Filler; MAJCS; RJE; Director of Lifelong Learning  

Jed Filler, Director of Lifelong Learning (DLL), has been an Educational Leader for over 20 years.  He has experience in both formal and informal education, and has worked in a variety of settings including camps, youth work, songleading, and synagogues.  Jed earned his Master's Degree in Jewish Education and Jewish Communal Service from Brandeis University, and his Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Writing from Ithaca College.  He has studied in various continuing education programs including Facing History And Ourselves, the Whizin Institute for Family Education, Songleader Boot Camp, and the Pardes Institute for Jewish Learning.

Jed has served in both local and national leadership roles, served multiple terms as a Board Member of the Association of Reform Jewish Educators (formerly NATE) and is a co-chair of the ARJE National Conference for January 2017.

Jed and the Filler family joined IHC in July of 2016, after having spent most of the last 20 years in the Boston area.  He and his wife Lisa are proud parents of Aryeh and Eliana and live in Carmel.

 

 

Debbi Kasper, Derech Torah Coordinator

Debbi Kasper, Derech Torah Coordinator, has 17 years of experience in the field of Jewish Education as a part time teacher for 12 years and an administrator for four.  

Debbi earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. Over the course of her career with IHC, she has severed as a Youth Group Advisor, 6th Grader Lead Teacher, Derech Torah Teacher, Religious School Accreditation Committee Chair, Confirmation Trip Chaperone and has also been a constant volunteer with the Interfaith Hospitality Network since its inception at IHC.  

Besides serving as IHC Derech Torah Coordinator, Debbi also holds a full time job as an Office Manager and Human Resource Manager for a locally owned family business.  

Debbi is a proud single mom having raised her three children in Indianapolis after moving here in 1995, all of whom have been through the IHC Religious School programs. Derek, an Airman in the United States Air Force, Shannon, an Elementary school teacher in the Indianapolis area, and Aaron a current student at Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana.

 

Taryn Fartouh, Director of Early Childhood Center 

Taryn Fartouh, Early Childhood Center Director, has worked in the ECC since 2005.

Taryn graduated from IUPUI with a B.S. in Elementary Education. She is also a certified nurse. Prior to coming to work in the Early Childhood Center, she worked at Community North Labor and Delivery for two years. She has been a part of the IHC family for 9 years, working with the three year olds for two years and taught Jr. Kindergarten for two years. Prior to accepting the Director position, Taryn served as the Assistant Director for 4 years.

Taryn and her husband are the proud parents to five wonderful children, newborn to 14 years old! Life is busy, but a lot of fun!
